Thorough Examination and Load Test
Our thorough examination and load test is designed to ensure that your equipment can perform to the required standard. All new and repaired equipment will need a load test before it can be brought in to service. Walker Crane Services ALLMI qualified examiners are here to provide the best possible service.

When Does my Equipment Need Testing?
LOLER (The Lifting Operation and Lifting Equipment Regulations) requires lifting equipment to be thoroughly examined by a competent person:
Before first use
Following the repair or replacement of a structural component :
- When a change of chassis takes place
- When removed and refitted to the original chassis
Periodic thorough examinations are also required for the following items :
- In the case of equipment for lifting persons, at least every 6 months
- A lifting accessory (e.g. slings, chains, grabs etc) at least every 6 months
- In the case of other lifting equipment, at least every 12 months
BS 7121 Part 2 – Recommendations for periodic testing and thorough examination of loader cranes are:

All Service work can be carried out on the same day as Load Testing, making it easier for Fleet Planning. Please specify on the booking form if you wish for your Loader to be Serviced when Tested.
If you require our mobile engineer service, we can conduct a service, inspection, test and repairs on site.
